EPM is a 100% state-owned ccompany owned by the Municipality of Medellin. Given its nature, our governance structure is designed to boost the advantages of being a public entity and to mitigate the risks related to its nature.

The Company’s ownership structure is shown in the following figure: The figure above shows the bodies which exercise each of the roles of the governance structure, and the practices implemented to guarantee good governance.

Governance structure

EPM is a 100% public company owned by the Municipality of Medellín. Given its nature, its governance structure is designed to enhance the advantages and mitigate the risks associated with its public status. The ownership structure of the Company is represented in the scheme. The diagram presents the entity that exercises each of the roles of the governance structure and the practices that have been implemented to guarantee good governance.

Exercised in EPM by the Municipality of Medellín through the Mayor, who officiates as President of the Board of Directors.
